My name is Jim Ward. Having designed with traditional media for more than a decade, I traded my drawing board in for a computer in the early 1990s. With it I have done a great deal of desktop publishing, graphic and logo design, and, in recent years, web design as well.
The computer offers an ever-expanding list of technological marvels. Many of the things it can do are nothing short of spectacular. But what good are they if they aren't appropriate for your project or clientele? It is extremely important that you select a designer capable of helping you choose what is right for your particular needs. I can help you achieve your goals in an efficient and creative manner.
Keep in mind that designing for the web is quite different from designing for print. I understand these differences and know how to work with and use them to best advantage.
I am proficient in working with computers using professional graphic design software programs including:
Adobe Photoshop
Dreamweaver
BBEdit
Flash
Adobe InDesign
Adobe Illustrator
Adobe ImageReady
Freehand
QuarkXPress
I have a working knowledge of many other professional software programs and use them with skill and imagination. I am computer savvy, quick-to-learn, and quite resourceful at solving problems as they arise. I have a passion for typography and have a particular attention-to-detail in all aspects of page layout, graphic design, and html coding.
It gives me a great deal of satisfaction and enjoyment blending my creativity and technical expertise to serve people seeking professionalism, quality, and a stress-free experience.
